Hailing from Ballynahinch, Co. Down, Barry Owen’s musical journey began when he moved to London to study violin at the renowned London College of Music.

His early career saw him teaching violin in schools, but his true passion for performing, especially singing, soon began to take center stage. Barry initially performed as a solo artist, but his talent quickly caught the attention of the music scene, leading him to join the resident band at one of the West End’s most iconic clubs, The Gaslight. For several years, he performed there regularly, refining his craft and building a reputation as a versatile musician.

From The Gaslight, Barry transitioned to The Chance Band, a prestigious society band known for performing at exclusive events, including parties for the Royal Family and other high-society gatherings. This opportunity solidified his place in elite musical circles, allowing him to share his talent at some of the most high-profile events across the UK

In the 90’s, Barry represented Ireland in many song contests, winning in many countries around the globe. He then formed his own band which is currently the most sought-after function band on the Irish scene in the UK and Worldwide.
